Students are invited to participate in our Read with the Fireflies Reading Challenge by logging 1,400 reading minutes in Beanstack by March 27, 2026. Students who complete the challenge will earn a free ticket to a Columbia Fireflies evening game, plus a junior hot dog and drink. Let’s read our way around the bases and celebrate at the ballpark!

Kershaw County School District is shifting to an e-Learning Day for Tuesday, February 3, due to hazardous road conditions in the rural areas of Kershaw County including snow and ice accumulation. All school buildings and offices will be closed. All Tuesday after school activities are also cancelled.

Kershaw County School District is shifting to an e-Learning Day for Monday, February 2, due to the high probability of hazardous travel conditions as a result of this weekend’s winter weather. All school buildings and offices will be closed. All Monday after school activities are also cancelled.

KCSD cancels weekend activities; continues to monitor the weather

Kershaw County School District is canceling all weekend activities (Saturday, Jan. 31 and Sunday, Feb. 1) as anticipated severe winter weather is forecasted for our area. All school buildings and offices will be closed this weekend.

The KCSD Teacher Career Fair scheduled for Saturday, January 31, is rescheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026.
